Arguing that there is a shortage of entertainment spaces for teenagers in Jamaica, West Indian cricketer Chris Gayle is introducing a summer series dubbed Club Teen 333.

The series will start on July 14 and will be held every Saturday until August 2. It will feature music from a host of high-school disc jocks at Gayle's Triple Century 333 Sports Bar in New Kingston. The party series will begin at 12 noon each Saturday.

"Partying in an alcohol-free environment to PG music with other teenagers is just what is needed in our nation right now to remind kids that they are kids. This is a perfect medium for them to socialise with their peers in a safe zone," Gayle said.

He said that Club Teen 333 will provide a platform for talented teens to showcase their talents.

"There are a lot of young talents within our schools, but they don't have much options as it relates to showcasing their skills, so this is one way in which they will be able to highlight it," he said.
