Konshens serves it RAW for Christmas

Dancehall artiste Konshens gets 'RAW' on his latest project, a 14-track compilation. Konshens explained that as the festive season approaches, he felt it necessary to heat up the dancehall space with some new tracks.

"Christmas a come, and its clear dem (fans) feel the cool breeze and happy fi di likkle heat," he said. He explained that he has a wide fan base and switches things up from time to time to cater to all his listeners. "I didn't want any misunderstandings or anybody being surprised when they hear this mixtape. I have many different kinds of fans globally, and I wanted to make sure it was clear which sector of my fan base I was targeting, and they have been loving it so far," the deejay said.

Konshens expressed that while he is satisfied with the body of work, he has not set any expectations for the compilation. He says that his only focus is on putting out music of a high quality and that he will allow the work to speak for itself in terms of what it achieves.

The RAW mixtape features collaborations with Dexta Daps, Mink Jo, Noah Powa, and up-and-coming artistes Jahnya and ANA. The mixtape features Every Gyal A Freak, Say My Name (featuring Dexta Daps), and Feel It (featuring Noah Pow).

The RAW project was released under Konshens' label, Subkonshens Music, and American label Empire Records.
