The 2019 breakout dancehall star Nvasion says he still has to explain that his monster single Dem Gyal Yah Wicked [which spawned a slang] was not based on personal experience where a girl breaks his heart.

"Is just something me see every day, seeing nuff ah my bredrin dem tek dem time heal from stab weh dem tek inna dem heart," Nvasion told THE WEEKEND STAR.

In recent collaborations with Shaneil Muir [ Wicked] and with US rapper and reality TV star Safaree Samuels [ Stories], the slang was again repeated. But the deejay expressed that he would love for dancehall fans and critics to see all the songs that he has to offer.

He said "Everything has been growth; maturity of my vocals, image, style and in my writing. I have seen a big difference, different flow and ideas. Most of my songs are actually freestyles and me can't stop say it, even when me find a million more hit song." Nvasion said that the lyrics he records are all an expression of creativity and experiences that may not be his. He also revealed that while he believes in love, he does not celebrate Valentine's Day and does not believe in marriage. The latter, however, has nothing to do with the treatment he has received from females.

"My father died a day before he was to get married to my mother [so] I always crumble even to think about marriage and what it may bring," he said. The only thing the dancehall deejay is married to is the music, and, for 2022, he is determined to show more love and dedication to it. He also loves marijuana and has recorded a lyrical ode titled Weed Head on the Better Days rhythm produced by Ivey League Productions which features tracks from other dancehall acts such as D'Yani, Kash Promise Move and Symflo.

"Me and me bredrin dem smoke constantly, every day, nuh care how it may hurt. So we just say 'weed head'. As I said is nothing that me medz too deep but go off a freestyle vibe. So fi dah year yah, an EP is on the way, more collaborations, more fighting in the music and more growth pertaining to my music. Is a one up fi this year," Nvasion said.
