Leaked sex tape upsets artiste, manager
MoBay dancehall artiste Silk Boss and his girlfriend/manager Sabreinna 'Brii' Williams are keeping calm and carrying on in the face of a recently leaked sex tape with damning voice notes.
Noting that the matter constitutes a cybercrime, Brii, who is also the CEO of Ice Queen Records, told THE STAR that it has not yet been reported to the police "but we are on it".
"The audio is a misunderstanding ... the way the people put it out, they didn't catch everything. It wasn't like how everybody think. He didn't lay his hands on me. When things don't go my way, I cry. Me and my boyfriend, we play rough... he knows me and he knows that I was going on like that over nothing," Brii said.
She and the entertainer have been in a relationship for close to one year and the producer insists that they are at a good place.
"Really and truly he didn't lay a hand on me. Both the videos and the audio were from incidents that happened in December last year. When I realised that they were leaked, I was angry and upset. People have control of his account and that's why these things are happening," she explained.
Silk Boss' PR manager, Georgia Wallace, told THE STAR that the jaw-dropping content made its way into the public space due to the malicious actions of an individual.
"We are trying to get this sorted out, but at the same time we are not giving the negatives any energy. Silk Boss is in studio right now and Brii is here with him and things are going great. He has a song being released on Friday that we know is going to make a huge impact, so we are here doing what matters most, the music," Wallace stated.
Silk Boss, whose real name is Rohan Romeo Reid, told a Biblical approach to the matter.
"The Lord will protect.. when the wicked try to rise up against me they stumble and fled. Right now, me just a do the music same way. That's all me have to seh."
Silk Boss grabbed public attention after his debut song, Mankind, trended on social media after its August 2021 release. He released the follow-up singles, Life Story, Geet Way and Team.
The video for his current single, Off Guard, premiered on March 5 .
