They have since been combing the area for a man who they said fled the house upon arrival of the cops about 11:30 a.m.

"The police, acting on information, visited this address and on arrival at the location a man ran from the rear of the premises into the swampy area.

"Two females have been detained. They have been confirmed to be Haitian nationals," said Superintendent Coleridge Minto, head of the St Elizabeth police division.

"The police are at this time searching the area, as well as the premises for additional weapons that we believe may be here at this location. We continue to appeal to our citizens. Any information that they have to assist the police, they should share with 119 or the Black River police," he said.

Yesterday, sleuths swept through the bushes around the pink and green house, at the rear of which was a large hole filled with water, which seemed to be very deep. At the front of the premises, not far from the coastline was a hammock.
