Man charged for allegedly stealing over $3 million from a Spanish Town business

The St Catherine police have charged a man for stealing over $3 million from a business establishment in Spanish Town.

Twenty-one-year-old Takoder Beckford of Sligoville, St Catherine is charged with larceny as a servant.

Reports are that between August 2024 and January 2025, Beckford allegedly used his security code to void customers' receipts and took for himself

the monies that were to be paid to the various service providers.

Beckford confessed when a concerned customer enquired about her bill payment not reflecting and her service got disconnected.

Further investigations revealed that JMD $3,371,285 was misappropriated.

Beckford was arrested and later charged following a question-and-answer interview.

His court date is yet to be decided.
