Dancehall artiste Squash, whose real name is Andrae Whittaker, is now in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) following his arrest on gun-related charges last week.

He is currently being held at the Krome North Service Processing Center in Maimi, Florida, according to the ICE website.

The Montego Bay deejay was initially locked up at the Miami-Dade County Sheriff's Office on February 24 on charges of possession of a firearm and carrrying a firearm without a permit.

Squash is already facing immigration issues as he allegedly does not have legal status in the country and is awaiting an immigration hearing.

The entertainer entered the United States in 2019 and never returned.

In an interview with Winford Williams, host of entertainment talkshow Onstage, Squash said that despite his love for Jamaica he cannot return due to personal reasons.
