Bounty Killer's comments ridiculing Beenie Man, after the proclaimed King of the Dancehall said that he should be credited for giving Vybz Kartel's career the boost it needed, could be seen as the start of another feud - but the Who Am I artiste is not about to entertain any drama.

Beenie Man appeared on the Let's Be Honest podcast where he told the host Jaii Frais that he has still not received some of the accolades due to him.

"Beenie believes his own lies over years what that song did for Kartel career though? Is Kartel hyped up Beenie at that time when alliance was lasting him ... that's why him did want to sign Kartel and Addi jump ship lef' him," Bounty Killer said on Instagram about the artiste's claims that because of their collaboration on Picture This, Vybz Kartel garnered worldwide attention.

In an interview with THE STAR recently, Beenie Man said, "I'm a big man," when asked if there was another feud looming between the two of them.

He reiterated, "I'm a big man, I have no time to play."

Beenie Man and Bounty Killer have the record for the longest-lasting feud in dancehall's history dated back to the early 1990s, though there were calls for a truce over the years. However, many dancehall critics and fans marked their Verzuz clash in 2020 as the real end of the feud. Last year, the dancehall legends caused an alarm when they entertained a fake feud prior to another shared stage performance.

Beenie Man said that he is focused on positivity and is looking to create positive music with some of the current rising stars in the music industry. Despite nursing an injury to his right foot since November, the veteran has been making the rounds performing on major stages in Barbados on Imagine Weekend, at London's Hammersmith Apollo, and in Jamaica for Rebel Salute in January. Prior to his Rebel Salute appearance, Beenie Man told THE STAR that he was around 87-89 per cent recuperated.

He also performed at Yaksta's album launch party held at the Festival Market Place on Tuesday, though, instead of sporting Crocs on the injured foot, and a single dress loafer like he did at Rebel Salute, he came fully attired in stylish Oxfords.

"I'm 90 per cent now. I was saying I'd wear my Crocs, but was encouraged differently by my girlfriend. She is the one who say to wear the shoes and bruk down the back of it," Beenie Man shared.

For the past year, news has circulated that he would be travelling to the US for several bookings but he has yet to do so. It was speculated that his injury would add to the delay, but he has avoided answering any questions about the status of his visa.

"I will be travelling soon but dates and those things is not something I know usually. I know the dates when I get the flight information and just go," said a tight-lipped Beenie Man.
