Dancehall artiste Kraff is currently taking some down time as he recovers from a recent surgery for an unspecified condition.

According to his manager, who goes by the name Tepa Music, the artiste is making the most of the break and is taking things a day at a time.

"The recovery is slower than we anticipated but he is really in good spirits and doing well overall. We are hopeful that by next week he will be up and ready and back in the studio. But he is doing well, spending hours on the phone all day and has me running in circles, definitely in good spirits," his manager shared.

Tepa Music made the announcement that he is taking some time off for health reason last Friday via Instagram. The post read "On behalf of Kraff, we'd like to share that Kraff is currently in recovery. He has undergone a minor surgery and is slowly getting better. Feel free to send well wishes, kind words and energy to your favourite Sinna with the hashtag #WEAREBUDU to move his recovery along. We anticipate a speedy healing."

Though tight-lipped about what exactly the surgery was for, Tepa Music did reveal that it had nothing to do with the motor vehicle accident that occurred last December involving him and colleague, recording artiste Breeze Genna.

A newcomer but fast-rising artiste in the dancehall space, Kraff released his debut EP 11:11 last November, less than two years since emerging on the scene. He is popular for tunes such as Dinero, Charge up, Sinna and Floating. His witty lyrics and original sound have made him a favourite among lovers and followers of new-school dancehall.

Earlier this month he teamed up with Skeng on the visuals for the track Shottaz. He was also a performer at Sting last December.

Born Tevin Randall, Kraff is poised to become a staple in the genre as his music continues to trend locally and his persona continues to intrigue his fans across the Caribbean and diaspora.
