Due to unforeseen circumstances a year ago, reggae/dancehall artiste Chuck Fenda was unable to fulfil a performance obligation in Canada.

Next month, the artiste, who is known for hits such as Gash Dem and Light Dem, I Swear and Living Fire, will return to Toronto as the headliner for Fire In Da City.

The concert, which will also feature Jamaica-born JUNO Award-winning reggae artiste Kirk Diamond, is scheduled for May 20 at the Jamaica Canada Association Centre.

Chuck Fenda said he is looking forward to performing for his fans and to promote his recently released album Eternal Fire.

"Canada has always shown me a lot of love and support. Last year the people never got to see me perform because the show was shut down before I was to perform. What happened was beyond the control of the promoter. But I will be going back there in a few weeks, so the fans can look out for more musical fire," said Chuck Fenda.

According to the artiste, Eternal Fire has been doing well since its release in February. The 15-track set was produced by Dwayne 'Fire Wayne' Cowans.

"The fans have been supporting the album and we give thanks for the strength. I will be performing some of the songs from the album as well as the hits that the people have come to love over the years," said Chuck Fenda.
