D’Angel insists she will ‘Pick The Man’

Dancehall diva D'Angel believes that she has an interesting hit on her hands, with the release of her new single, Pick The Man.

"This song explains the topic of threesomes, that most men only think it should be with another woman. So I flipped the script and said, if that opportunity ever presents itself, I will pick the man. Some would say it's a bit of a controversial topic, but the song narrates exactly what the message is all about," the singer explained.

The official music video, which was directed and styled by Davea Atkinson, has already amassed almost 30,000 views since the track's release last month. With the track already creating a buzz, the visuals have added an extra appeal.

"My hope for this song is that it will create worldwide awareness for women and that it is okay to stand your ground in a relationship. Also, don't be forced to make decisions you may regret," she said.

Known for hits such as Blaze, Stronger and Mind Yuh Business, D'Angel has been staying busy with a host of projects and appearances. She was recently the headline act for SAINT International's Fashion Face of the Caribbean event, and has several local shows in the pipeline. Following these, she has several shows scheduled overseas, namely in cities such as Atlanta and Cleveland. She is also working on an EP.

"The EP is coming soon, just putting on the final touches. It's going to be the sexier side of D'Angel. So you can look out for it," she revealed.
