Dexta Daps featured on Davido’s ‘Timeless’

African music star Davido is in celebration mode as his fourth studio album Timeless is the highest-charted African album to date.

The album is the highest-charting one by an African artiste on the US iTunes at No. 1. It then made its debut on the Billboard 200 chart at number 37 for two weeks, making it Davido's highest-charting album.

The album has sold over 17,000 units in the US alone, while, in Nigeria, Timeless is now eligible for platinum certification, having sold more than 61,600 units in the first three weeks of its release in the country. In an interview with popular radio station HOT 97, Davido shared that, for the first time, he did not feature a US artiste on his album. He expressed delight that the Afrobeat has gained a lot of recognition.

The 17-track album features the ladies' favourite singer from Jamaica, Dexta Daps, who wrapped his silky vocals on the upbeat Afrobeat track BOP, which celebrates women who love to have a great time.

Dexta Daps told THE STAR, "It's my second time working with Davido. He was featured on my album Scripture in 2021 and our collab was the title track. I'm honoured to be a part of this record-breaking, history-making project with my brother, Davido.

Dexta Daps brought his unique flavour, caressing the beat with his melodious voice while hinting to the ladies that he can fulfil their fantasies.

Davido and Dexta Daps' vocals complement each other, with the artistes fusing dancehall and Afrobeat, thus making it a catchy track that they expect will easily be a massive hit, especially for the ladies, this summer.
