Tawanna Jones, CEO of Mineral Boss Records (MBR), took her first step into the cannabis industry with the release of her first line of branded cannabis.

Dubbed Mineral Boss Experience (MBE), the move coincides with the release of the song Marijuanaa by Yaksta, which dropped earlier this month.

Marijuanaa is featured on the 'Ruku' rhythm, which also has songs by Mr Lexx, Tony Matterhorn, Lisa Hyper, Delly Ranx, I-Octane, and others. Jones shared why she decided to venture into the cannabis business.

"I wanted to be involved with something passionate to my culture. I also like the idea of changing people's perception about cannabis," said Jones. "My goal was to create a premium cannabis line that would blend seamlessly with music and elevate the overall experience for cannabis enthusiasts."

Malik D, CEO of Cruze Delivery, the entity that will distribute MBE products, said his team is excited about the partnership.

"A partnership like this isn't about the product but more about the way it will make people feel. Music and cannabis are on the same wave length; they both make people feel amazing," Malik D disclosed.

Jones, who is from St Elizabeth, formed MBR with her late husband Cleon Jones. She has worked with established as well as up-and-coming acts. One of her productions, Progress by Mavado, is featured on DJ Khaled's Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling album, Major Key.
