Jah Lama plans to be the next big star out of Clarendon

The parish of Clarendon holds the distinction of being the birthplace of several great Jamaican artistes, including Toots Hibbert, Freddie McGregor, Barrington Levy, Cocoa Tea, and Merciless.

Budding dancehall artiste Jah Lama is determined to add his name to the list.

"I intend to build on this rich legacy and keep the tradition going. It's going to take a lot of hard work and dedication. However, I am prepared to work overtime with my team to make this dream come true," he said.

The Rastafarian deejay, who hails from Crawle River, is currently promoting his new single Fighter. The song, which was produced by Sheldon and Leroy Edwards on the 'Things and Time', rhythm was released by Pandemic Records on January 20.

"The response to my new single has been overwhelming, it's getting strong rotation in Jamaica, the US, Canada, Europe, and Africa," said Jah Lama,

The hard-working entertainer is currently working on several new projects for the label.

"Since I signed with Pandemic Records earlier this year, I've been in the studio working on new projects for the label. We're getting ready to unleash some hot new singles. It's my time to shine and I'm not easing up," he said.

Jah Lama, whose given name is Miguel Allen, is a past student of Denbigh High School. He launched his recording career in 2021 with a song titled Smile.
