When dancehall artiste Kapri 100 Mill wanted to capture the essence and feel of his latest single Prevail on video, he went for one of Latin music's best video directing teams.

Jack Nine Films, an Orlando, Florida-based company with 15 years of experience, has directed videos for several Latin acts, including Bad Bunny, Jay Wheeler, Nicky Jam, Farruko and Christian Alicea.

Prevail is the follow-up to Kapri 100 Mill's Money Up which was produced by Billboard chart-topping producer Rohan 'Snowcone' Fuller.

" Prevail was inspired by some personal life experiences, hurt and pain. What I went through is what I refer to as my moulding period. I learnt the true definition of betrayal and sabotage. However, I still came out standing strong - 10 toes down, hence the title Prevail," the artiste disclosed.

Kapri 100 Mill, who is the producer of the song, said his music journey began when he was a toddler, always hearing his father playing Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, and other icons on his vinyl player every Sunday.

"So that was my first introduction to music by just listening and liking what I heard, then I started singing them word for word until I started writing my own lyrics," he said.

Born Dwayne Wallace, he was raised in the Pembroke Hall community of St Andrew, and is the youngest of seven children for his parents. He began singing on the choir at primary school. He later moved on to Pembroke Hall High School where he continued to fuel his passion for music.

In 2008 Kapri 100 Mill had a major single, titled Dear Mama, which was featured on the 'Creeper' rhythm, which was produced by Seanizzle. Kapri 100 Mill is now residing between Jamaica and the US, where he has been working on advancing his career.

He said, "Musically, I want to cement my name on global stages, while leaving a legacy throughout the entire music industry that my kids and even their great grandchildren will be proud to say my name and to claim that legacy."
