Shaney Blaxx releases ‘Don Dhada’ EP

For newcomer Shaney Blaxx, the pursuit of music as a career hasn't come easy, but the east Kingston-raised deejay, who now resides in the US, said his passion for music has kept him going.

"I was born and raised in Rae Town and the journey for me is a beautiful one. However, it's not an easy road as weh Buju Banton woulda seh. It has had its ups and downs, but I keep going because I am motivated and determined to make my mark in music," said Shaney Blaxx.

The dancehall artiste has released his debut EP Don Dhada, an eight-track project.

"Anything thing I do in life, I strive to be the best at whatever it is. So, when it comes to music, I'm in full control. So I'm the boss aka 'don dada'. That's what inspired the name of the project," Shaney Blaxx explained.

Don Dhada features production by Worldblast Music, Frossaholiks and X-Kaliba Records. Among the tracks are Turn Up, Clean Like Jesus featuring Yung Bredda, Sugar Daddy, and Steamy featuring Lady Blue.

"The project is all about good music, modern dancehall reggae vibes and pure good sounds," said Shaney Blaxx.
