Schen and Demarco team up for ‘Work’
With the summer season in motion, reggae/dancehall artiste Schen has teamed up with Demarco for the single Work.
Schen and Demarco thought it would be a successful follow-up to their previous collaboration, Round Two, and the support from their fans have proven it to be worthwhile.
The Abscott Entertainment-produced track made its way to digital platforms two weeks ago and has grabbed the attention of music curators worldwide, who praise the track for its core dancehall sound with a crossover flavour. Schen shared that Work has definitely been working for her.
"The song is high-energy, but the delivery is so subtle, you can either dance or rock slowly when the song comes on. Having Demarco on the track is a plus because we have worked on projects before, and he possesses a unique voice and delivery that the women love. So it made sense to team up with him for this banger," she said.
Schen shared that since the release of the track, she has had to amp up its promotion, based on how rapidly the track is growing in the Caribbean as well as eastern countries.
"I think Work has already begun doing well because it's not asking the ladies to do too much, and it's telling the men that they still have to work hard for our attention. With that feel from the track, women automatically gain more confidence by just listening," she said.
The Rule Book singer said that her music is specifically designed to write a story with each song she releases, and she hopes to keep the momentum going once her EP hits the market.
"My songs will take you on several journeys, while keeping you all the way entertained, and I'm thankful I am able to do that for my supporters. I am readying an EP that is expected to hit the market in coming months, and I am looking forward to the same kind of positive response to the tracks," she said.
