Squeel calls on God for protection
Westmoreland-based dancehall artiste Squeel is in an upbeat mood as he promotes his new single ' Protection'.
"This song was inspired by personal experiences and things I have seen happening in the wider society. Most of the time when you're trying to make it in life, there's always someone trying to stop you from achieving your goals. Sometimes the only thing you can do to overcome the obstacles the haters put in your way is call on God for guidance and divine protection. So, every day I pray to the Heavenly Father before I touch the road," said the artiste.
Produced by Zyon Entertainment, Protection was released in April, and since then the song has enjoyed steady rotation both locally and abroad.
"I am pleased with the response that this song is getting in places like Jamaica, the US, the UK, and Europe. My team and I are doing everything we can to generate more rotation locally and abroad because we believe it has the potential to be a big hit," he said.
"God has blessed me with the opportunity to work with some very talented producers who believe in me, and right now I'm working on some exciting new projects that I plan to unleash real soon," he added.
The hard-working singjay recently released a video for his single Love Yourself on the Bynovus Entertainment LLC imprint.
Squeel, whose given name is Nicholas Gray, hails from Grange Hill, Westmoreland. He launched his recording career in 2013 with the release of a single titled Living My Life on the Studio Vibes Entertainment label.
