Producer hopes to win souls with new album

Music producer and songwriter Desmond 'Soljie' Campbell is revelling in the success of the recently released album with recording artiste Johno J.

The project, God Never Change, was released in April on Campbell's DWC Production label.

"I met Johno J when he came by my place of business, and we started talking about music. He sang something for me, and I was pleased and so I gave him a song that I had written to record, and as they say, the rest is history. We started working on the album not long after and now here we are with a completed body of work," he said.

As a Christian, Campbell is using music to create a positive change in the lives of people everywhere.

"I wholeheartedly put my everything into the music that I produce. This album is a good one and I am hoping that it will be greatly appreciated while winning souls for the Kingdom," he said.

"The feedback has been superb. Working with Johno J was seamless, and it clearly reflects in the work," he added.

At one point, Campbell admitted that he was very unsure of the trajectory of his life, but music changed all of that. He started with little to no knowledge of the business but quickly learnt the ins and outs after becoming a band manager. Now, more than two decades have passed, and in addition to releasing various songs, he has worked with notable names in the business.

"Having an excellent ear for music is a plus, and I have some excellent people that I have worked with over the years. If I was supposed to call names, it would not stop here, so I will just say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me in some way or another," he said.
