Ricky Glamorous defends the ladies on new single
Dancehall artiste Ricky Glamorous is in an upbeat mood as he promotes his new single Bun Him Back, featuring Sage.
The deejay says he decided to write the song after observing how some men treat their women like dirt.
"I've seen guys cheating on women who buy them cars, jewellery and all kinds of fancy stuff, with girls who can't even buy them a sandwich. I'm not promoting promiscuity, but I believe that if a man cheats on his woman, she should do the same thing to him," said the artiste.
The song, which was produced by UK-based producer Terry Vibes, was released on August 7. Since then, it has been receiving strong rotation, both locally and overseas.
"I am getting a lot of positive response about this song, especially from my female fans. I think it has the potential to be a big hit. Therefore, my team and I are working overtime to promote it in various territories, including Jamaica, Canada and the US," he said.
Ricky Glamorous is also working on his new album, which is slated to be released later this year.
"My album is almost finished. I have three more songs to go; everything should be wrapped up before the end of September. Once the production is completed we will announce the release date."
Ricky Glamorous, given name Franklin McCreath, originally hails from Somerton in St James.
In 1996, he migrated to the US and resided in Boston until he moved to Ontario, Canada, in 2013. He holds a bachelor's degree in sociology from the Brock University in Ontario.
