Legendary cricketer Chris Gayle, who has ventured into the realm of recording music, said he was inspired by the half-time show at the Super Bowl last Sunday, and now dreams of the day when he will perform on that stage.

The Wack We A Wack deejay, who was in attendance at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, said he has been aggressively marketing his music in the United States of America (USA). He is confident that in the same way he left cricket fans awestruck when he swung his willow, he will create similar impact with microphone in hand.

"I always dreamt big and think big, and ever since I've been having success as an artiste, I've really wanted to perform at some prominent concerts around the world. While at the Super Bowl and watching the half-time show, I started to day-dream that one of our reggae and dancehall artistes like Shaggy, Sean Paul or even Masicka would be performing and call me out to perform with them, and we could bring dancehall to the world again," Gayle said.

Sunday's Super Bowl was the first for the hard-hitting left-handed opening batsman, who goes by the moniker Universe Boss. He was among the 65,000 who gathered in the Allegiant Stadium to watch as the Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers to win for the second consecutive year and third time in five years. Gayle described the atmosphere in the stadium as electric.

"The stadium was full to capacity and the fans were really loud and cheering. It was the championship game and fans go all out when it's the championship. It reminded me of being at a championship cricket match in India or being at a Formula 1 race," he said.

The hard-hitting left-handed opening batsman said it was his first time witnessing two of his favourite artistes, Usher and Alicia Keys, perform live. He was bowled over by their energy and delivery.

"Usher really rocked the stadium. ... I had never seen Alicia keys perform and I really admire her, so I was excited to see her. I met Usher in Abu Dhabi, at the Formula 1 Gran Prix, but this was my first time watching him perform as well, and that was brilliant as well," Gayle shared.

Gayle is in North America promoting his music and is currently preparing his song for his upcoming album Tropical House Cruises to Jamaica, the Middle East Edition.
