Dr Love, given name Christopher Crooks, the popular social media influencer who made a career of speaking his mind on Facebook and Instagram live posts, says he is no longer interested in being a 'passa passa' purveyor.

"I am leaving the passa passa business. I have been there, done that, now I am out and on a new path of productive growth!" he declared. "I have no more interest in dancehall drama and ruffling feathers."

Four months ago, Crooks took visually impaired artiste Nigy Boy from relative obscurity to being the hottest artiste in dancehall. Nigy Boy's Continent Tour world tour, which started in Montego Bay in February, is solidly booked until the end of the year with upcoming performances in Nassau, West Palm Beach, Toronto, Grenada and Birmingham, Alabama. After his highly anticipated debut performance at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay in July, the tour continues with dates in Europe, Canada, Cayman Island; Ft Lauderdale, and Boston.

"I am extremely proud of Nigy Boy and all that we have accomplished together. Yes, it's a team effort. People think I started working with him after the success of [his single] Continent. No such thing," he clarified. "We started on this journey over three years ago. He is a gift from God. We have much more things to do and places to go. Sky is the limit."

The New Jersey-based manager shared that he initially created the passa passa platform to build his brand.

"It was a strategic move that was very successful. It helped to build my brand. I actually cooled off creating that type of content. You have to give up certain things if you want to grow in other ways. I am now focused on being the best artiste manager I can be and I think I am winning," he told THE WEEKEND STAR.
