Bounty Killer storms the charts with ‘Wine’

International dancehall legend, Bounty Killer, is garnering attention from several charts in various countries for his latest single, ' Wine'.

The single has charted on more than a dozen Apple Music and iTunes Reggae Singles charts in the two weeks since its release. It has charted in 17 countries so far and landed at No. 41 on the Top 50 US Shazam Chart.

"Mi always do music with a success mindset and fi di fans dem appreciate ... so di fact that fans appreciate this song, mi nuh surprise still ... it's a catchy [song], easy to enjoy kinda vibe and it have the island flava that the world loves. So the success nuh shocking jus appreciated," he said.

"I've had so many successful songs which nuh go pan chart ... likewise I have had lots of charted songs including number ones ... . Chart a sumting we appreciate ... but mi nuh too feel chart unless a real chart," he affirmed.

Wine was co-produced by ZJ West on his Yo West Productions label and dancehall artist Esco da Shocker from Tall King Productions.

"Dominating mostly in Africa and Europe, Wine is evidently attracting an eclectic mix of listeners. It even got a top five placing in Switzerland and landed at No. 7 in Nepal. The track also recorded over 2000 Shazam and 30,000 streams on Apple Music and Spotify combined. Wine has been getting heavy rotation by various DJs globally, including Massive B with Bobby Konders and Jabba on Hot 97 in New York.

According to Leslie Hayles who is a part of ZJ West's public relations team, a lyric video of the single is available on YouTube, already amassing almost 10,000 views.

"Thus far, Bounty Killer and team have been in the streets previewing Wine for his female fans, and has received rave reviews. Ladies have been recorded dancing provocatively to the track and establishing it as a favourite of theirs," Hayles added.
