Honezty has high hopes for ‘Sugah Rush’
Belizean dancehall artiste Honezty plans to turn up the heat on the local party scene with his high-energy, uptempo single titled Sugah Rush.
"This song is happy, fun-loving, high-energy party song that's guaranteed to keep everyone moving on the dance floor. It's the kinda song that makes you want to get up and dance and forget your troubles. I'm confident that it's going to be a summer hit," said Honezty.
The song, which was produced by JahRyan Productions and LIL Boy Entertainment, is a fusion of genres.
"My music is influenced by various genres, because in Belize we listen a lot of different genres, including soca, dancehall, reggae, hip-hop and R&B. This new track is soca with a little hint of dancehall. It's a high-energy party song. We recently shot the video for it; it's full of fun and excitement. I can't wait to drop it before the end of the month," he said.
Honezty is currently busy in the studios working on new projects, including his fourth album, which he intends to release later this year.
"It's a multi-genre project, so the fans can expect to hear reggae, dancehall and soca. I plan to have this project ready very soon, because I want to drop it before I go on tour later this year. As far as new singles are concerned, I would like to do collabs with Jamaican artistes like Dexta Daps, Masicka, Busy Signal and Christopher Martin," he said.
