As Reggae Month approaches, producer Akeem Bowen honours the rich legacy of reggae music by releasing the 'Breakaway' rhythm.

This compilation celebrates the genre's timeless essence, while offering a fresh perspective through the voices of some of reggae's finest contemporary talents. Distributed by Zojak Worldwide, the rhythm will be available on all major digital platforms, delivering its uplifting rhythms and thought-provoking messages to reggae enthusiasts worldwide. Featuring a stellar line-up of artistes, the project includes Alaine with her spiritually rooted track Never Fail (23 Psalms), Christopher Martin's heartfelt 911, Charly Black's anthem of perseverance Still a Survive, Lia Caribe's introspective Red Flags, and JaidiGod's empowering Greatness.

For Bowen, this rhythm represents more than music - it's a tribute to reggae's enduring influence and the legends who paved the way.

"This riddim is a love letter to reggae's roots and its ability to connect with people's hearts and souls. It was incredible to work with these artistes, who embraced the vision and elevated the project to another level," he shared.

The visuals accompanying the rhythm promise to enhance its impact, starting with 911, which is set to debut shortly after the release. Each video will reflect the essence of the individual tracks, while collectively celebrating the riddim's overarching theme of resilience and inspiration. Bowen is also preparing for an exciting 2025, with another major release on the horizon - JaidiGod's debut album under One General Music.
