Gothic makes impact with ‘Born Winner’

For recording artiste Gothic, self-belief is one of the key components for creating and maintaining success, as expressed in his most recent single, 'Born Winner'.

Produced by his management team at Empress Ann Recordz, the track is currently making waves across creator platforms and currently stands as an anthem for those on their journey towards greatness.

"The inspiration for this track arose from my life situations that have brought me to where I am at now, while I navigate towards where I ultimately aspire to be," said Gothic. "My life was rough as a child growing up. My parents never had much and had to work hard to make a living; and dropping this track is one way to tell them I will make their lives easier."

"I've lost friends along my journey who showed they don't believe in me ... It's the relatability of the life lessons in the track that makes it continue to make an impact. I'm proud of the response so far," he added.

The crisp visuals behind the track were provided by Inkdrops and has amassed thousands of streams and hundreds of rave reviews. In the track, Gothic exclaims, " Born winner fi true dawg, nuh too talk, walk di road wid one pair a shoes, mi have nuff fi lose, mi know bout pain mi heat numb fi true" - the key lines that resonate with many of the youth who grew up in similar situations as Gothic.

The traction that 'Born Winner' has been receiving has fuelled the engineering of his follow-up single, 'Rum Cup', which is a celebratory track for those inspired to enter their winning season.
