The Clarendon police division has now
recorded 107 murders since the start of the year following Sunday night's gun slaying of 33-year-old deportee Alvin Sappleton.
According to the May Pen police, Sappleton was shot and killed in the Douglas Drive area of Race Track in May Pen.
"The police were called to a shooting last night. When we got there, we found the deceased with what appears to be gunshot wounds," a detective based at the May Pen Police Station said.
"You would have known that he is a deportee and was previously shot and injured earlier this year."
Sappleton's death brings the Clarendon murder toll to 107.
