Four still in hospital following Trelawny crash

Four persons, including two tourists, remain in hospital following Thursday's four-vehicle crash in Carey Park in Duncans, Trelawny.

It is reported that the driver of a dump truck heading towards Falmouth lost control of the vehicle and ran into the bus that was carrying tourists to Montego Bay.

A female tourist was killed in the accident.

The deceased is a 38-year-old resident of Minnesota in the United States. Her eight-year-old daughter, who was among 21 passengers on a bus that overturned, is currently at a private hospital in Montego Bay, St James. The second tourist is also at the same hospital.

A tour guide, who was on the bus, and the driver also remain in hospital. The other tourists were taken to hospital and later released. They have reportedly returned to continue their cruise.

The driver of a truck and three occupants of a car involved in the crash have also been released from hospital.
