Couple murdered in Clarendon on Monday night
A new crime wave sweeping the restive Clarendon police division claimed the lives of a couple in Sandy Bay, May Pen Monday night.
With the police still scouring the area for clues in solving this latest homicide, the information is still sketchy.
However, a source told The STAR that preliminary investigation is indicating that the couple was not the primary target of the attack.
"The couple is likely to have been killed between 12:45 and 4 a.m.," a senior investigator told our news centre.
The couple's murder, which is the sixth within the last two weeks follows the shooting deaths of a club owner and a shoe vendor in May Pen, both in brazen circumstances.
Murderers also snuffed the lives of a male in Frankfield last week and burned a grandmother to death in Chapelton on Saturday.
