Family searches for missing Spalding High student

Family members and friends of 17-year-old Kelisha Allen, fifth form student of Spalding High School in Clarendon, are seeking the assistance of the public to determine her whereabouts.

Allen, who has been missing since March 24, was last seen at about 5:15 p.m. on the day. She was wearing a black plastic slippers, a grey shorts, and a black blouse. She is of slim built, 5 feet 5 inches tall and is of dark complexion.

Her guardian, Dawn Morris, told THE STAR that the teenager left home at Succeed, Manchester, on the afternoon in question to visit her brother at lower Christiana in the parish. She has not been seen or heard from since.

Morris said calls to her cellular phone from relatives have gone unanswered, and their greatest fear is that she might have been kidnapped and killed. She said her relatives are anxious to learn of her whereabouts, as it is unusual for her to be gone for any period of time without anyone hearing from her. She added that Allen, who is scheduled to graduate this July, did not report to school when classes resumed following the Easter Break on April 4.

Morris pointed out that the matter was reported to the Christiana police on Easter Monday.

When contacted, an officer at the Christiana Police Station confirmed that Allen had been reported missing and efforts are being made to ascertain her whereabouts. However, there are no leads.
