Cops have lead in murder of alleged daughter killer
The police say they are yet to make an arrest in the murder of a man accused of killing his three-year -old daughter in St James on Thursday.
In what is considered a strange turn of events, 24-year-old Roosevelt 'Timmy' Thomas of Flanker, St James, was shot dead by unknown assailants on Thursday.
Earlier that day, Thomas allegedly called the police and confessed to killing his three-year-old daughter, Lashaunie Thomas and dumping her body at Dump Up Beach in Montego Bay. Her lifeless body was found at the said beach.
Hours later, Thomas then turned in himself to the police.
But according to head of the Area One police division, Assistant Commissioner of Police Winchroy Budhoo, Thomas jumped from the second floor of the Barnett Street police station while being questioned in the presence of his attorney.
Budhoo told THE STAR that the man then ran onto the street and managed to elude the police.
The next time the cops saw him he was dead, allegedly shot and killed by unknown assailants in an abandoned house in Glendevon, St James Thursday night.
