Motorcyclist injured in 'Ochi' crash

A motorcyclist was injured during a collision involving his motorbike and a Suzuki Vitara in Pineapple, along the Ocho Rios main road yesterday afternoon. The accident occurred at around 5 p.m.

An alleged witness reported that the Suzuki was heading in the direction of Ocho Rios when it attempted to make a right turn and collided with the motorcycle, which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The impact severely damaged both vehicles and left the motorcyclist in what residents of the area said was a serious condition. He was rushed to the St Ann's Bay Regional Hospital, where he was admitted.

The female driver of the Suzuki was not injured. Police from the Ocho Rios station later arrived on the scene to carry out investigations.
