Bartender dies in car crash
The death of a young bartender in Newel, St Elizabeth yesterday has pushed the number of road fatalities since the start of the year up to 176.
Reports from the Corporate Communications Unit are that about 11:30 a.m., the deceased, Taviree Davidson, 25 of Newel, St Elizabeth, was driving along the Claremont Park main road when she lost control of the vehicle, which subsequently overturned.
Davidson sustained multiple injuries, and was assisted to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
No one else was injured in the accident.
the National Road Safety Unit at the transport ministry yesterday reported a two per cent decrease in the number of road fatalities since the start of the year, when compared to the same period in 2015.
