Good Family vibes at In Dee Go Sports Bar

For more than a decade, there has been a preferred spot in St Ann's Bay where friends meet to chill out and have a good time over a drink.

And while they're there, they may choose to watch a game on the big-screen television sets, play a game of pool, or even try their luck on any of the dozen or more slot machines available.

Yes, a lot of people are having great times when they visit In Dee Go Sports Bar, located at 31A Main Street, a busy thoroughfare in St Ann's Bay.

"We're like family, so everyone is happy here," said Latoya Lowe, who along with husband Edwin Lowe, operate the bar.

Mixed with the good vibe, the family atmosphere is mostly in evidence on a Friday, when patrons are treated to food on the house.

"On weekends, mostly Fridays, we cook for them. Soup, jerk chicken, jerk pork, a mixture of everything, it's complimentary, they buy their drinks and enjoy the food," Lowe said. She expressed delight at the Wray & Nephew promotion that is giving her bar some exposure.

Bartender Denise says she offers excellent customer service and claims that this is part of what keeps patrons returning to In Dee Go Sports Bar.

GREAT SERVICE

"I know how to treat them to keep them coming back. My personality, for one, because I'm a jovial person. The service here is just great," she said.

One customer who, admittedly, keeps coming back is Brian. He happened to have been relaxing in the bar at the time of the interview. He was asked what keeps him coming back to In Dee Go.

"The bartenders offer good customer service, so you feel comfortable when you come in to have a drink," said Brian. "I basically come here to have a drink and play pool. It's the comfort that I basically feel that keeps me coming back here."

Not surprisingly, Denise names Wray & Nephew as the leading brand that she serves customers.

"They love rum here, like Wray & Nephew. And they will go for Hennessy sometimes."
