For the past 22 years, Icy's Round Bar in Exchange, near Ocho Rios, St Ann, has been a favourite spot where friends hang out and share a drink or two.

Icy, a very popular personality in Exchange, has built a loyal clientele over the years and outside the bar operations, the spot has become a well-known party location for promoters.

"Right now mi book out 'til next year January with party and it's not a club wah mi fi rent, is just mi living, mi bar," owner Icy explained. "Because mi deh pon di main, mi nuh have no competition, so everybody look forward to Icy Round Bar when having an event."

But, she was asked, what really makes Icy's Round Bar famous?

Without skipping a beat, Icy answered, "Wray & Nephew White Rum."

"Wray & Nephew White Rum a the biggest promotion mi eva go inna. Mi do two round robin wid it, one was Sunday Sip and this one now is Rum Friday," she explained. "Sunday Sip went well for 14 years. It was a blast, it was the best for the whole parish of St Ann; anywhere you go a just Sunday Sip people (was) talking about."

And what about Rum Friday?

"Rum Friday is a blast, it going on right now and it's good. People look for it on a Friday, anywhere it is kept, we always get good support."

And the vibe is always right, she informed.

"The vibe a mad thing! Up! Loud! From yuh say two flask a rum $1,300, a it that," she laughed.

On the day when THE STAR visited, patrons from near and far were chilling at Icy's Round Bar.

One man, who gave his name as D-Masters, and who hails from St Catherine, said that whenever he is in the area he always find time to visit Icy's Round Bar.

"Is a good chill-out spot, been coming here for over five years. It's convenient, the place always clean and thing, and everybody love it here," D-Masters said.
