St.Thomas groundsman charged for rape and incest

A St. Thomas groundsman will face the Morant Bay Parish court on Wednesday to answer to charges of rape and incest.

The 34-year-old man, whose name is being withheld to protect the identity of his daughter, allegedly raped his daughter when she was 7-years-old.

The girl is now 14 years old.

Police reports are that the incident recently came to light, and a report was made to the Morant Bay Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA).

An investigation was launched, leading to the subsequent arrest and charge of the man for rape and incest.
