Kitson Evans, father of Chaleen Evans, who went missing from a Hopewell, Hanover community on Christmas Day, says a male relative's dream is what led to his daughter being reunited with her family.

The five-day search ended joyfully yesterday afternoon when two cousins with whom the relative shared his dream found Chaleen on a beach about 3:30 p.m., close to the Hopewell High School in the parish.

"A can't tell you how mi feel right yah now. Mi feel good, mi belly full, right now mi nuh want no food," Evans said. "Two of har cousins, Trishana and Monique, a them get a call from another relative and tell them that him get a dream seh 'Chin' [Chaleen's nickname] deh pon a beach side inna the area, which deh close to a Englishman yard, which has a closed gate, but warn dem that nuff dog inna the yard."

He said both women travelled from the family's community of Clifton to Hopewell, and, just like it was said in the dream, they came upon the beach. Evans said they made their way across the property and later came upon rugged terrain.

"Dem tell mi that dem did a walk and a talk to each other, and a sey wi don't think Chin deh no weh yah suh, but to them surprise, it would appear that she did deh at a deserted section a the beach, an when she hear them voice, she run come hug dem up," Evans told THE STAR. He said that Chaleen's cousins ran back to where a police team was conducting a spot check and informed them that they needed help. Chaleen was then transported to the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea, where she was treated and placed under observation. After her disappearance, several search parties made up of police, members of the fire brigade, sniffer dogs, soldiers and residents scoured sections of the parish.

When news that she was found alive reached back to Clifton, residents went into celebration mood. Chaleen reportedly ran off into bushes after visiting her babyfather in Hopewell about 7:30 a.m. She has reportedly been suffering from depression.
