Westmoreland records three murders in half hour

Westmoreland, one of the country's bloodiest places last year, began 2022 with three murders, all of which took place within a period of half-hour.
Police recorded a double murder in Cornwall Mountain, while there was a single killing in Negril.
Tajay Stewart, 22, and 29-year-old Damar Martin, both unemployed of Frazer Land in Cornwall Mountain, were ambushed and shot multiple times by an armed man in the community about 2 a.m. on New Year's Day.
Thirty minutes earlier, gunmen struck in Negril, Sterling was shot while riding his motorcycle. A pillion rider, who was on Sterling's motorcycle, escaped unhurt.
The motorcycle was stolen by one of the gunmen.
