Interscope Records-signed recording artiste Shenseea has hosted back-to-back launch parties in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami for her debut album, Alpha, but last night's celebration was very special. The event, which was held at Romeich's headquarters on Campbell Boulevard, Kingston 11, not only brought out some of the most influential persons in Jamaica, but it also included a few surprises.

One of the eye-popping moments came when London on da Track, who Shenseea has been rumoured to be in a relationship with, presented the Deserve It singjay with a diamond dripping necklace bearing her dragon logo.

Shenseea expressed her gratitude to London on da Track, a popular US-based producer, who she labelled as "a phenomenal producer".

"You are talented, thank you so much and I can't wait to do much more work with you."

Speculations have been rife that she and producer London on da Track are dating. Shenseea last week told The Breakfast Club that she and London work together well, but did not confirm whether they are a number.

"London is a cool dude to me, we've been working together, we've been making music and nobody and when I say nobody, I mean nobody knows who I'm dating publicly," she said.

The London moment aside, Shenseea last night used the launch party to thank Romeich Major, her former manager, for believing in her talent and his commitment to her career.

Her star power did not escape the pull of senior government officials who attended the event. Minister of Health and Wellness Christopher Tufton and Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia 'Babsy' Grange, and deputy prime minister Dr Horace Chang were in attendance.

There were also heavy-hitters in entertainment such as Beenie Man, Sean Paul Ding Dong and Tarrus Riley.

Shenseea, who has been hailed as Jamaican dancehall's next big crossover star said that she felt "blessed" to know that her album ,which she has been working on for the past three years, has been released, and it is being widely celebrated.

Shenseea has experienced a meteoric rise in her stocks over the past few years.

The Shen Yeng queen has been booked to perform at Reggae Sumfest on July 22.
