WEIRD STUFF: Robots set to rule the world
Robots set to rule the world
A new survey has found that artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to peak in the next 40 years, and that machines will take control of politics and economics.
It is feared that the only role for human beings will be to entertain or work for the robots -- especially as they will have developed emotions and opinions by then.
The nightmare scenario was previously outlined by the late physicist Professor Stephen Hawking, who warned that creating AI "would be the biggest event in human history," but that it "might also be the last".
Software firm Qlik questioned 2,000 Brits about robo-tech such as AI-enabled vehicles, domestic robots and smart devices. A healthy 60 per cent believe that robots are a danger to humans, and 86 per cent believe that they must be "properly supervised".

Crab found with human-like teeth
A fisherman was shocked to find a crab with a full set of human-like teeth.
Roman Fedortsov, who works on a trawler in Murmansk in the northwest part of Russia, shared a picture of his bizarre discovery on Instagram and wrote: "Crabs...All the same, there is something attractive and repulsive in them. Mother Nature has tried... ."
A number of horrified Instagram users commented, with one writing: "Human incisors from above"; another joked: "Teeth like mine"; and one person questioned: "Does he have human teeth?"
Fedorstov often documents his strange discoveries on his Instagram account and has previously said that he found all of the fish fascinating and did not share the belief that they were ugly monsters.
He said: "All kinds of fish are beautiful in their own way. I cannot say that they are 'scary' or 'ugly'. People are very interested in unusual sea creatures.
"Readers have the impression that with each trawl we bring aboard unusual fish specimens. In fact, this is far from the case. It is a rarity.
"On the other hand, even a famous fish can be photographed so that it will seem to be a 'monster'. Most of the raised fish do not survive, due to the difference in pressure."

Narcissistic men reach quicker
Experts claim that narcissistic men are more prone to premature ejaculation.
They said that men who have an inflated view of their sexual performance are more likely to disappoint in the bedroom. The research was conducted among more than 1,000 adult men, and was focused on their sex lives and their levels of 'sexual narcissism'.
The researchers-- from Valparaiso University in Indiana and Eotvos Lorand University in Hungary -- found that ejaculating prematurely and having difficulty reaching orgasm are both positively linked with sexual narcissism.
Study author Professor David L. Rowland told PsyPost: "Various personality traits and disorders (such as narcissism) have been associated with sexual response and satisfaction.
"Our research reiterates the negative impact that narcissism has on relationship satisfaction, but adds new perspective on how this personality characteristic may also affect a man's sexual response during partnered sex."
