Gun found in jeans

A Westmoreland man was arrested for gun charges yesterday following a raid at his home.

He has been identified as 21-year-old Deno Kongal of Ricketts River in Frome. Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police are that about 9:30 a.m., a team of officers conducted a snap raid at Kongal's home. One 9mm Browning pistol, with a magazine containing eight 9mm cartridges was found wrapped in a pair of jeans.

Kongal was arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
