Joint police-military operation in Waterhouse

Led by Senior Superintendent Kirk Ricketts, head of St Andrew South Police Division, a joint police-military operation is currently underway in Waterhouse, St Andrew.

The police are searching for several men they believe are connected to Tuesday's drive-by shooting in Unity Lane where 19-year-old Alton Haffeden was shot dead and four others injured.

Ricketts told THE STAR that the police believe Tuesday's shooting incident was a reprisal to a fatal stabbing incident at a football match in the community last Saturday where 29-year-old warehouse assistant Andre Douglas was killed.
