Illegal firearm, ammunition seized in Clarendon man’s car
The Clarendon police say that a man has been taken into custody after an illegal firearm and eight rounds of ammunition were found under the driver’s seat of his car.
It is reported that during an operation on McWhinnie Street in Lionel Town, Clarendon,
lawmen were on patrol in the area when they signalled the driver of a Toyota Probox motorcar to stop and he complied.
A search was conducted and one 9mm Browning pistol with a magazine containing eight 9mm rounds of ammunition was found under the driver’s seat of the vehicle.
He was subsequently taken into custody, however, his identity is being withheld pending further investigation.
