UPDATE: Senior firefighter charged with attempted rape
The high-ranking official of the Jamaica Fire Brigade (JFB) who was accused of sexual misconduct, has been officially charged with attempted rape and sexual touching of a child.
He has been identified as assistant commissioner Floyd McLean, senior officer with responsibility for the region IV at the Jamaica Fire Brigade.
He was charged this afternoon by the St. James police.
McLean was arrested yesterday after a 14-year-old minor made a report to the CISOCA.
The minor was on voluntary service at the Montego Bay Fire Brigade department when she was allegedly molested by McLean.
He joined the brigade 33 years ago, and was promoted to senior management three years ago.
