St Mary farmer charged with rape
The St Mary police have confirmed that a farmer has been taken into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting a seven-year-old girl on three separate occasions. He has been charged with rape and grievous assault.
According to the police, it was family members and other concerned residents, who reported the matter to them and an investigation was launched.
The farmer was later picked up by the police and charged.
The police have also revealed that the farmer is also under investigations for other incidents of rape which was not reported, but is now just coming to light.
His court date is being finalised.
