US resident found with ammunition at Sangster International Airport
The Montego Bay police have confirmed that a United States resident was arrested and charged after he was found with a box of ammunition at the Sangster International Airport in St James.
He is 25-year-old Kamar Watt, a software engineer of Wilbert Street in United States of America.
He has been charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition following a seizure.
According to the police, about 8:15 a.m. on Monday, Watt arrived in Jamaica and whilst at the security point, his knapsack bag was scanned and the anomalies detected.
A search was conducted and a box containing 20 nine milli-metre cartridges was found.
His court date is not yet ascertained.
