Husband and wife duo Vonni and Hugh Koromanti have a special connection through creativity and their shared passion for supporting Jamaican brands.

With roles as creative consultants, intellectual property professionals, and stylists, they are emerging as a formidable force in the fashion market.

Dubbed 'VonniKoromanti', the couple's connection is a wellspring of creativity that not only fuels their marriage, but also ignites their shared passion for innovation.

"Our bond is a well of creativity that continuously inspires us," Vonni shared. The couple recently graced the Chris Brown and Friends concert on Sunday at the National Stadium, turning heads with their distinct sense of style. Hugh's ensemble, featuring brown jacket and rust-coloured trousers adorned with a green vest, captivated attention. The couple's attire told a story of Jamaican pride and creativity.

"Hugh's jacket is from EtAl, and his vest is one of our designs from VonniKoromanti as are his sandals," said Vonni. The sandals, which were made from goat leather and Blue Mahoe hardwood sourced from Portland and St Thomas, offered both comfort and style. Vonni sported the female version of the footwear. Addressing the fashion community, Vonni emphasised the importance of representing Jamaica through attire.

"We need to think about the way we represent ourselves as Jamaicans. We don't have to wear the black, the green and the gold, but wear something Jamaican," she urged. Her own attire symbolised her outlook, as she donned shorts from her own brand and adorned herself with locally crafted jewellery.

"If we believe in ourselves then let us dress ourselves, and be confident in ourselves," she said.

The couple's fashion choices caught the eye of many, with inquiries pouring in about Hugh's outfit, especially from Jamaicans residing abroad.

Hugh shed light on their business journey, noting their 15-year operation where he serves as the CEO and Vonni as the creative director. They are based in Plantation Cove and Vonni said that their sandals are the biggest sellers. They do custom styling and have a team of tailors, seamstresses and leather workers.

Their success, however, comes with its own set of challenges, as demand consistently surpasses supply. Their products find homes in Europe, Canada, and North America, a testament to their brand's global appeal.
