St Mary man charged following stabbing incident

Demar Hibbert, a resident of Annotto Bay in St Mary was arrested and charged after he allegedly stabbed a man during a dispute on Thursday, August 24, the police say. 

The 31-year-old has been charged with wounding with intent.

The police report that about 4:50 p.m., Hibbert had a dispute with a man when he used an ice-pick to stab him. The injured man raised an alarm and the police were summoned.

The man was taken to the hospital by residents for treatment and Hibbert was subsequently taken into custody and charged. His court date is being finalised.
