Court hears Maitland had no clothes for hearing
The circuit court was informed that Noel Maitland, the man charged in the murder of social media personality Donna Lee Donaldson, was absent from court on Wednesday morning as he had no clothes to wear.
He was expected to be present for his renewed bail hearing.
Maitland's lawyer Christopher Townsend explained that despite the best efforts of the accused's family, the police did not accept clothing provided for him.
“The clothing was taken but refused,” Townsend said.
The court also heard that the application to renew the bail hearing, which was to be filed on or before September 1, was not before the court.
The matter has been postponed until November 16.
Donaldson, was last seen at Constable Maitland’s New Kingston apartment on July 11. She was reported missing on July 13.
The police had indicated that investigations concluded that Donaldson was killed on July 12 between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
