St Catherine labourer accused of indecent assault

Ronald Stewartson, a labourer of Keystone in St Catherine, is set to appear in court on November 14 to answer charges of abduction and indecent assault. 

The 20-year-old was charged after the police received reports he tried to sexually assault a woman he offered a ride in his vehicle to Portmore from Spanish Town. 

It is reported that Stewartson made sexual advances to the complainant, including inappropriate touching along the journey, which were spurned by the complainant.

It is further reported that upon reaching Greendale the accused attempted to forcibly diverted to his home, to which the complainant responded by jumping from the vehicle. 

A report was made and investigation launched. Stewardson was arrested and charged with abduction and indecent assault following a question and answer session.

When he appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court on Tuesday, a successful bail application was made on his behalf in the amount if $200,000.
